Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok offers the Khan Tok Set Menu, served al fresco on Salathip's riverside terrace and in the beautiful setting of the restaurant's teak pavilions. The set menu is available until 30 November 2015. This traditional Northern-style dining dates back centuries in which local Lanna people celebrate festivals and holidays in their homes.
Diners visiting Salathip can enjoy a Khan Tok Set Dinner served in a pedestal wooden tray. Delicious food portions nicely presented in the set dinner includes Northern-style appetisers, such as Chiang Mai Sausage, Pickled Pork Sausage, Steamed Ground Pork, a sauce of minced pork with tomatoes and chillies and a sauce of northern green chillies served with Crispy Pork Rind, Vegetables and traditional condiments; and a soup made of spices, vegetables and chicken. Main dishes include Minced Pork Salad with Northern Herbs served with Steamed Sticky Rice and Crispy Pork, Northern-Style Pork Curry, Pan-Fried Sea Bass seasoned with Kaffir Lime Sauce and Wok-Fried Chayote with Garlic, and Warm Sweet Sticky Rice with Longan served with seasonal fresh fruit to end this Northern Thai offering.
