HSBC has announced the appointment of Guy Dickinson as Head of Markets and Treasurer for Thailand, effective immediately. Mr. Dickinson succeeds Guil Silva, who has decided to take a sabbatical for further studies in the UK after spending nearly three years in Thailand.
Bringing with him a wealth of experience, Mr. Dickinson will be responsible for leading and growing HSBC's Markets franchise in Thailand. He joined HSBC in 2003 in Hong Kong as Senior Trader and Director of Foreign Exchange and Money Markets. In 2010 he became Head of FX Trading for Singapore, overseeing risk management, revenue growth and client relationships. Mr. Dickinson was previously Head of Trading for Singapore, where he helped to grow and strengthen HSBC's Markets business.
Mr. Dickinson has a Graduate Certificate of Management from University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He has served on the committees of numerous markets organisations in Singapore and has been an active supporter of community and charity works.
