Bangkok--16 Nov--Public Hit
Qatar Airways is pleased to announce four additional weekly flights from Phuket to Doha starting from October 28, 2015. The increased frequency is in response to growing international travel demand from passengers based in the south of Thailand, and also in anticipation of the year-end peak travel season to the popular resort island.
Qatar Airways Country Manager for Thailand and Myanmar, Jimmy Sng, said, "Thailand in particular Phuket and Bangkok, remain some of the top cities to visit when one thinks of the Land of Smiles. The Thai government is actively wooing international tourists to visit Thailand, particularly in the lead-up to the year-end vacation period, andwith our increased flight frequency to and from Phuket, Qatar Airways is well poised to be the airline of choice for many travellers who are keen to visit this popular destination."
Qatar Airways first started flying to Phuket in October 2014 and the route has been very well-received by both Thai and international visitors alike.
"Since the start of non-stop services between Doha and Phuket in 2014, Qatar Airways has been able to offer international travellers more convenient access to the popular tourist destination with reduced times. Similarly, the non-stop Phuket-Doha flights provides passengers based in the south of Thailand with greater international connectivity as they can fly direct to Doha and connect onto a wide variety of international routes on our ever-expanding global network," added Mr. Sng.
