Bangkok--18 Nov--Holiday Inn
For four decades the popular Holiday Inn Golden Mile has presided over the heart of Tsimshatsui and gained a place in local people's hearts and in the travel community as a whole for its warm hospitality and caring service.
Recently the team at the iconic hotel took things a step further. As part of the hotel's 40th anniversary celebrations, almost 200 past, present and long-serving team members got together to organise their own special reunion dinner.
In addition to the current team at the hotel, members who were in the original pre-opening team for the hotel and who have worked in the hotel for 30 years or more were invited along too. The owner of the hotel, Dr Aron Harilela, also joined in the celebrations which were held the hotel's glittering Crystal Ballroom.
In keeping with the hotel's tradition of taking great care of its guests, and also of contributing to the community as well, the team donated almost HKD 70,000 to the hotel's supported charity IDEAL.
An acronym for the Intellectually Disabled Education and Advocacy League, IDEAL provides much needed educational opportunities for young people with learning and behavioural difficulties in Hong Kong and helps them to build meaningful and rewarding lives. A wonderful and heartfelt gesture from one of Hong Kong's most caring and hospitable hotels.
