The Selected presentTIMO Trunks beach shorts in collaboration with The Archivist – Thailand's vanguard of screen printing, presents'The OCD Capsule' the beauty of obsession.
The Selected is a multi-brand lifestyle store located on the third floor of Siam Center. Fashion, lifestyle, music, art and technology are some of the elements that best describe what customers who walk in to The Selected would experience. Decorated in an Industrial Soho concept, the store takes inspiration from old yet very unique industrial area of Soho, New york, with a touch of warehouse atmosphere, to combine with quiet yet luxurious materials including woods, leather and studs used to decorate the store.
October 2015, 'TIMO x The Archivist' presents 'The OCD Capsule', a special collaboration project, showcasing for the first time their collaboration 'OCD White' and 'OCD Navy' swim trunks.
The collection is based on a screen print, '20,000 DOTS & LINES: THE CONCRETE PILES ', the original artwork of The Archivist's founder Minchaya Chayosumrit, a graduate of Central Saint Martin, who is known for her work of iconic 'dotting art' and hand-screening experiments.
Founder and Creative Director of TIMO TRUNKS, Pow Foongfaungchaveng says, " This collaboration started by my amazement in The Archivist's Screen Printing style. It is very obsessive compulsive. The Archivist's screen print takes 'attention to details to the next level.' The original print contains a few thousands dotted inks. It is very OCD, yet very Modernistic. To me their dots appear very perfect, systematically aligned, to the point that it looks almost machine-made.
For this TIMO collaboration, The Archivists successfully erases the line between 'Hand VS Machine'."
In addition, The OCD Capsule comprises 'limited edition hand-screened swim trunks, hand-screen tote bags, OCD limited edition postcards, and the original work of '20,000 DOTS & LINES: THE CONCRETE PILES ' on display.
