Bosch on full stream to enhance its mobility solutions and connected technology for consumers and industry

Bangkok--23 Nov--Aziam Burson-Marsteller Bosch showcased cutting-edge technology in Bangkok Bosch in Thailand recently showcased its longstanding commitment in commercialized innovation, technology and services among six core business units at its 'Invented for Life' themed Innovation House in Bangkok. Last year, Bosch invested 5 billion euros in R&D expenditure which is accountable for approximately 10 percent of Bosch Group's total sales. Bosch recentlyannounced the opening of its new research campus in Renningen Germany. The new 310 million euro facility was launched with the motto of 'Connected for millions of ideas' and is the hub of Bosch's global research and development network. Bosch has 15,000 software engineers, 3,000 experts developing Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and plans to recruit 12,000 trained graduates worldwide. Bosch is not only the global market leader for micromechanical sensors, but hasalso been extending its software competence for some years now. Bosch especially sees huge business potential in the services that will arise as a result ofconnectivity. At its Innovation House in Bangkok, Bosch provided presentations from sixBusiness Units featuring new advances in mobility solutions and connectedtechnology that continue to drive innovation in diverse segments. Mobility Solutions The Automotive Aftermarket business division in Thailand showcases its cutting-edge technology of a wide range of spare parts including: batteries that offer a greater quantity of energy to be supplied in demanding situations; wipers that incorporate advanced wiper rubber technology with a patented coating and; spark plugs with laser welding that provides drivers with greater longevity and performance. Bosch recently supports the campaign "Stop the Crash" initiative of the consumer association Global New Car Assessment Program (Global NCAP). Every day, more than 3,000 people worldwide lose their lives in traffic accidents, according to Global NCAP. Bosch patented its world's first anti-lock braking system (ABS) which helps prevent car wheels from locking and ensuring the vehicle remains steerable and stable. At the Bosch Innovation House, one can have the real feel of driving systems with and without ABS through a Bosch simulator. ESP is also the basic technology for many driver assistance systems, for instance, automatic emergency braking systems which intervene to support drivers in potentially dangerous situations. Connected Technology The Drive and Control Unit of Bosch supports mechanical and plant engineeringefforts with its cutting-edge technology and unique industry knowledge to enhance the performance of machine, manufacturers and end users. Bosch has now entered industry 4.0 where man, machine and internet are interfaced. The robot arms shown at the events explain how production lines can be remotely controlled from other parts of the world via the internet. With connectivity expanding in every business sector, Bosch is playing a leading role in connecting entire cities and bringing cars online, creating access to heating control systems via an app, and automatically integrating its suppliers into thesupply chain. It has also connected electric stoves and other household appliances to the internet. At the event, Bosch Home Appliances showcase its sensor technology in every day's use appliances. For instance, the recent technology allows greater flexibility on Bosch's latest vacuum cleaner to work on all floor types. Its sensor detector iron also enhances highest power efficiency with switch on / off by touch feel detection. Bosch Power Tools presents the world's first "Wireless Charging System" for inductive charging of cordless tools. This helps users save time and enables professionals to charge batteries inductively while they are working. Another highlight includes Bosch laser measuring device which can be digitally connected. The smart solution can transfer and document measuring results. Bosch Security Systems plays its major role amidst rising crime rates and socialunrest nowadays.
