Mr. Shrihari Bhat, Group Managing Director, Asia PacificFIS, was recently in Bangkok to discuss the latest trends in information technology in the financial sector and disclosed that FIS recently provided AIRA & AIFUL with outsourced end to end, consumer-facing lending and payment solutions as well as back office and infrastructure services for the successful launch of Thailand's newest consumer finance institution. Mr. Bhat, stated that more and more financial institutions in Asia Pacific are looking at and moving towards outsourcing their IT functions and that this trend will continue with the emergence of new Challenger Banks into markets around the Asia Pacific region.
