Bangkok--9 Dec--pr pedia Great China Millennium (Thailand) Company Limited, under Prommaharaj Land Development Group, which operates The Palladium World Shopping Centre and a local luxury hotel The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, has spent over Bt100million on turning the 4th, 5th and 6th floors of its shopping complex or Pratunam's biggest shopping mall into the "Palladium IT Pratunam". Positioned as the new IT hub in the heart of Bangkok, the revamped zone will appeal to IT-device users across all sectors including tourists. The Palladium IT Pratunam will also be a boost to the firm's business synergy allowing its facilities to shine as the perfect venues for IT-related MICE functions. Mr. Wunlop Kamolvisit, Deputy Managing Director of Prommaharaj Land Development Company Limited, parent company of Great China Millennium (Thailand) Company Limited discloses that his company took over the Pratunam Centre in 2010 and transformed it into the Palladium World Shopping - a one-stop shopping mall for not just retailers but also wholesalers. He says in the latest development that his firm has joined hands with local IT entrepreneurs and big-name IT companies in developing the "Palladium IT Pratunam" under the budget of well over Bt100milliion. Located on the shopping mall's 4th, 5th and 6th floors, this IT zone covers over 25,000 square meters. Positioning itself as the new IT hub in the heart of Bangkok, Palladium IT offers the complete range of IT products and services. At present, tenants have already taken more than 90 per cent of its space. Palladium IT now has over 250 shops. In addition, over 50 brands have joined hands-in-hands to make this IT mall an IT hub and one of the biggest and most complete in Bangkok and Thailand. The brands include; J.I.B., Advice, Fuji Xerox, Gigabyte, YAK IT, ARC, Tenda, Thermaltake, Scanner and many more. Palladium IT Pratunam is divided into many subzones. On the 4th floor are 150 small shops. On the 5th floor are big shops by 43 distributors of leading brands, plus 40 mobile phones and accessories outlets. Many shops have invested heavily on its stores as it looks to attract the younger generation consumers not only selling just products but also its atmospherics. On the strengths of Palladium IT Pratunam, Mr. Wunlop says, 'It is strategically located at the Pratunam Intersection which is one of the most renowned areas in Bangkok famed for shopping especially for local and tourist market. Its location is conveniently accessible by private cars, public buses, public boats, toll way and an Airport Rail Link's Ratchaprarop Station. It's not too far from the BTS Chidlom station either. Palladium is not just a shopping mall. It is a massive complex which also houses a 38-storey office building and The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, a five-star hotel. The hotel has 788 rooms, ballrooms, and an exhibition hall which make it one of the biggest hotels in Thailand. It can host big functions, accommodating as many as 3,000 participants at the same time along with over 2,500 car-parking lots. Through the synergy of the complex it will supports each other. For example, The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam will look to penetrate the IT-related MICE functions, which include product launches, seminars, workshops, exhibitions or even staff-parties. These functions will complement the IT businesses below in the shopping centre.' The company has set aside a hefty budget of over Bt20million a year on advertising and building brand awareness as it seeks to be the number one IT mall. The budget will be spent on advertising through different media channels such as radio, OOH media, and LCD screens in various locations in Bangkok including the biggest LCD screen in Thailand which is located at its building. He points out that, 'the heavy spending is intended not only to penetrate IT users but also everyone in Thailand. We want people to have a mindset, when they think about IT they will think about Palladium IT Pratunam as their number one preferred choice'. Another key marketing strategy is events and activities. 'Having events and activities here will boost the traffic in the shopping centre and draws more consumers to this marketplace. We have provided plenty of events and activities spaces on all of the IT floors in order to make the IT mall as lively as possible.' This month, marketing activities came in the form of Vmodtech's Asia LAN Party 2015 and an AB Normal mini concert on November 14. They are followed by 3 consecutive events from 27-29 November that kicks off with soft opening (27 Nov) followed by AMD OMG Party! 2015 (28 Nov) and Palladium IT Auctions for Charity and Cosplay Contest (29 Nov).
