Dedicated to promoting the Chao Phraya River districts into lively leisure and tourism destinations, Bangkok River Partners (BRP) hosts 'RIVER on a PLATE', which is BRP's annual foodies festival, held in riverside restaurants and venues. Over a span of ten days this December 4-13, take to the majestic Chao Phraya River for an unforgettable culinary celebration ranging from tastings to three-course dining sensations to tantalize taste buds, the choice is yours. Participating restaurants are offering special menus paired with wines from around the world, with a rich variety of wine and cheese tastings and markets. Partners in this year's event include wine partner Italthai Cellar, reservations partner chope.co, and media partner Easy FM.
Further to the special menus of carefully curated dishes that showcase the best of the restaurants, with exclusive choices that come with complimentary bottles of wine or champagne, witness distinct activities taking place at River-on-a-plate. Key happenings also coming to the river include the Bangkok Farmer's Market at the Anantara Bangkok Riverside (Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December), winetasting master classes at the Peninsula with Mr. Jon Hyams of Pikes Winery, one of the premium boutique winery in Clare Valley, South Australia, and special food, wine sax evenings at Sambal Bar and Grill (Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers) have a special food, wine and sax evenings with the wonderful notes of saxophonist, Aht Gunlayanakupt, also known as the "Kenny G of Thailand" on Friday and Saturday evenings.
