Mrs. Benjamas Wilaichon, Vice President, General Administration Department, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), recently represented the Company in accepting the Building Excellence Award for Facilitating the Disabled 2015 from Police General Adul Saengsingkaew, Minister of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security at Royal Jubilee Ballroom, Challenger Building, Muang Thong Thani. Two of THAI's buildings received awards: THAI's Operations Center (OPC) in Suvarnabhumi received the award for being the best building that facilitates the disabled and THAI's office in Laksi also received an award for good accessibility to the disabled.
The Building Excellence Award for Facilitating the Disabled 2015 was organized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in conjunction with a study conducted on the impact of suitable environment on the elderly and disabled 2015. The Department of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University organized a project to study, follow-up, and select buildings that facilitate the disabled while receiving conveninent service.
