"Siam Music Yamaha" celebrates New Year 2016 with Picnic Music with Mahidol University Jazz Orchestra from talented members of Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. A Big Band Jazz performance on the occasion of 50th anniversary of Yamaha Music School to inspire the new generation on Saturday, January 24, 2016, 16:00-18:00 hrs. at Phornprapha Botanic beside Siam Country Club Pattaya.
This concert, organized on the occasion of Yamaha Music School's 50th anniversary, is considered to be a high quality performance and received much attentions from young people and general public. It has more than 30 musical instruments in this concert. The musicians are talented and performed in many program such as the Annual Thailand International Jazz Conference. This concert,which is a combination of musicians who completed the Bachelor of Music program in Jazz Studies from the College of Music, Mahidol University and were members of Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra supervised by Associate Professor Dr.Sugree Jareansuk, its music director. This performance will bring happiness to anyone who loves listen to the Big Band Jazz music, whether it be Thais or foreigners, will surely impress with it.
Today, Thailand's young music students are more interested in learning music. The reason is this new generation want to express themselves in creative work and looking for more performance opportunity. After graduated, they would remain in the music industry and own businesses that deal with music, arts and culture directly. Some work in entertainment sector, music library and museums, as music critic and other related industry.
Siam Motors Group, recognizing the importance of music in Thailand, has signed an agreement with College of Music, Mahidol University to establish the Orchestra Academy to develop the Thai music scene, especially the ensembles, towards international scene and global stage. The academy will support all music activities at national and international levels – such as marching band camp, jazz camp, contemporary music camp, Thai traditional music camp, children music education training camp, music composition, and music seminars – to develop skills in playing various types of music.
All forms of music events will take place at the Orchestra Academy. Youth music is surely will reach the international music scenes as what Dr. Thaworn Phornprapha's intention to make Thailand Vienna of the East.
