Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kashipur signs agreement with AIT

Bangkok--26 Jan--Asian Institute of Technology The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kashipur, India, has signed agreements with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) for facilitating student exchange, faculty exchange, and undertaking joint research projects. Prof. Gautam Sinha, Director, IIM (Kashipur), and Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, AIT President, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on 19 January 2016. Signing the agreements, Prof. Dinesh Sinha said that IIM (Kashipur) has two existing agreements with universities in France, and this was the third international agreement which they have signed. He outlined the various academic offerings at IIM, stating that their institute, which was established in 2011, would be moving to their new campus in 2016. Prof. Worsak welcomed the agreement with IIM stating that both institutions can benefit from international partnerships. According to the agreement, both IIM (Kashipur) and AIT will accept three exchange students beginning 2015-16. Both institutions will grant full credit transfer to the exchange students. The IIM Director was accompanied by Prof. Kampan Mukherjee, Dean (Planning and Development). Besides Prof. Worsak, Prof. Nazrul Islam, Interim Dean, School of Management (SOM); Dr. Peeyush Soni, Associate Professor, School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD); Mr. Zia Islam, Senior Academic Officer, SOM; and Ms. Sumana Shrestha, Senior Program Officer External Relations and Communications Office (ERCO), also joined the agreement signing ceremony.
