ONYX Joins Pimali Foundation for the Opening of the Hospitality Training Centre - Providing a better future for underprivileged Thai youth

Bangkok--16 Feb--ONYX Hospitality Group Executives of ONYX Hospitality Group led by Peter Henley, President and CEO, in partnership with Pimali Foundation, jointly celebrated the opening of Pimali Hospitality Training Centre in Nong Khai province. The centre aims to help underprivileged young Thais become financially independent by providing professional and practical hospitality training that leads to better employment opportunities towards achieving a sustainable future. Established in Nong Khai, the Pimali Hospitality Training Centre's curriculum will cover three main areas in the hospitality industry, including general knowledge such as English and information technology, as well as an eleven-month theoretical and practical training for kitchen and service, and five months for housekeeping, followed by a six-month internship. As one of the main partners and sponsors, ONYX Hospitality Group Foundation has made a financial contribution through the Baht for a Better Life (BBL) programme to support the construction of the Pimali Hospitality Training Centre. In addition, ONYX has provided consultancy on the construction and procurement process review, as well as HR process. Future initiatives include an internship programme for the students and volunteer coaching of Pimali instructors, to be provided by ONYX executives and experienced team members.
