Our talented Thai chefs at Up & Above invite you to discover the authentic taste of summer with a traditional Thai khao chae menu. Once known as chao wang or 'dish from the palace' because it was loved by royalty, and only available in summer, khao chae includes rice in iced jasmine-infused water accompanied by a selection of delicious side dishes. Our Japanese chefs at Yamazato get into the spirit of Songkran when they present a special Gozen lunch menu and Kaiseki crab hot pot dinner for Thai New Year. Highlights from the lunch menu include a choice of platters that include firefly squid with spring onion, spicy vinegar and miso, simmered asari clam with ginger, hot clear soup with sakura shrimp dumplings and yuzu, and grilled salmon topped with miso paste and sweet green pepper. Yamazato is renowned for its fabulous Kaiseki hot pots and for Songkran the selection of premium ingredients to cook at your table include two kinds of sashimi, tempura shrimp, conger eel and vegetables, king crab, snow crab, and much more.
