EXIM Thailand rendered financial support of 475 million baht to Panjaluck Pasuk Co., Ltd. for the Company's D'Luck Cinematic Theatre project in the inner city of Pattaya, Chonburi province. Cinematic theatre is a new entertainment innovation of world standards offering Thai classical literature shows with the most advanced technology in order to promote Thai tourism and stimulate economic growth with increased foreign exchange earnings.
Mr. Kematat Saicheur, Acting President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), Mr. Siriwat Vongjarukorn, Chairman of the Board of Panjaluck Pasuk Co., Ltd., and Mr. Thanapol Veerathepsuporn, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Panjaluck Pasuk Co., Ltd., jointly signed a financial support agreement whereby the Bank will provide a credit facility of 475 million baht to finance the Company's construction of D'Luck Cinematic Theatre in the center of Pattaya, Chonburi province, on March 8, 2016 at EXIM Thailand's Head Office.
EXIM Thailand's Acting President said the Bank has realized the Company's potential in business operation to innovate stage production in linkage to Thailand's tourism and service industry. The cost of project is more than 1 billion baht. D'Luck Cinematic Theatre, a unique cinematic theatre which is the first of its kind in Thailand, is anticipated to attract tourists with amazing live performances on a par with world-class shows. EXIM Thailand will take part in driving the growth of Thai tourism and economic expansion of the country in line with the government's tourism promotion roadmap and the Bank's objective of supporting foreign exchange earning businesses.
D'Luck Cinematic Theatre is located on a land area of over 10 rai, being able to accommodate up to 1,400 seats per round and total performance space of more than 10,000 sq.m., including space for the use of Asia's largest video projection that is equal to the combined size of three IMAX film screens and one 8-meter high "Animatronics" robot moving around the theatre. The theme of its live experience show titled "KAAN" will feature such Thai literature stories and characters as Ramayana, Phra Aphai Mani, and Krai Thong, with live performance by over 300 professional performers and screen technology using computer graphics that are no inferior to those of global standards. The construction work is expected to be completed by the middle of this year and the theatre is scheduled to open to full service by this year-end. Pattaya ranks second in Thailand's top tourist attractions list following only Bangkok and drawing at least 7 million tourists a year as well as earning approximately 90 billion baht in revenues each year.
