Bangkok--11 Mar--Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit
Join us at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit on Sunday 20 March as we celebrate "Macaron Day 2016".
Started in France by Pierre Herme, the man that Vogue called "the Picasso of Pastry", Macaron Day is now celebrated around the world.
Pierre Herme once said of these delightful little creations, "Macarons only weigh a few grams, but that's enough to leave your senses quivering with pleasure. Their thin, crisp shell, slightly rounded shape, tempting colors and tender interiors draw devotees to devour them
with their eyes and caress their smooth surfaces. Their flavors solicit the nose and, when one bites into that crisp shell, the ears tingle with pleasure and the palate is finally rewarded."
To mark the occasion of "Macaron Day 2016" at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, Pastry Chef from our Parisian-style cafe, Le Macaron, will demonstrate his craftsmanship and finesse by creating an extraordinary three meter tall Eiffel Tower made using colorful macarons
and surrounded by four oversized lady macarons. The remarkable macaron masterpiece will be displayed in the hotel lobby from Thursday 17 March – Wednesday 23 March, 2016.
Guests are invited to join us of the "Opening Macaron Cutting Ceremony" on Sunday 20 March from 3pm – 4pm where they will witness the cutting of a big lady macaron and enjoy our delightful pass-around macarons in many enticing flavors.
At the stylish event, social media followers will be also invited to guess how many macarons were used to create the Eiffel Tower. Simply post a picture of the tower with the answer and the hashtags #MacaronDay, #LeMacaron, #SofitelBangkokSukhumvit, and the winner
will receive an overnight stay at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit in a Luxury Club Millesime room with Club Benefits value at THB 24,800++.
At Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit's distinctly Parisian cafe, Le Macaron, guests can also enjoy a special "Buy One Get One Free" offer on macarons from 7 am – 11 pm only on 20 March.
