PepsiCo Ties Partnership with Raks Thai Foundationand The Wilderness Society Of Thailand To Support Watershed Rehabilitation Project in Mae-Jam, Chiangmai

กรุงเทพฯ--15 มี.ค.--124 Communication Consultings Pepsi-Cola (Thai) Trading Company Limited, a local arm of PepsiCo Inc., a global leader in foods and beverages with a variety of beloved brands such as Pepsi and Lay's, represented by Mr. Charonchai Salyapong, Corporate Affairs Director (2nd right), recently announced a tripartite partnership with Raks Thai Foundation led by Mr. Promboon Panitchpakdi, Executive Director (2nd left), and The Wilderness Society Of Thailand by Mr. Phusawasdi Sukliang, President (1st left), in supporting watershed rehabilitation project in the Mae-Jam watershed forest area, Tambon Mae-Najon, Mae-Jam District, Chiangmai Province. Through this partnership, the Company has sponsored a fund of THB 397,000 to support the construction of 473 check dams and one small reservoir for local communities in four villages namely Mae-Sar, Huay-Pha, Mae-Khor, and Mae-Hoy. This support is part of "PepsiCo's Drops of Care" project which began in 2013 by PepsiCo Thailand and PepsiCo Asia-Pacific Region, following PepsiCo's long-term strategy "Performance with Purpose" to support environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The project is aimed at increasing green space in watershed forest area as well as restoring ecological balance to the Northern region of Thailand, through a participatory process of local communities.
