Saha Pathanapibul speculates an economic growth in 2016, aiming at 10% sales increase and strengthening its logistics network and sale channels

Bangkok--21 Mar--Integrated Communication Saha Pathanapibul shows the trust in the government's economic team, believing that the economy in 2016 is going to be more favorable than that of 2015. The company proceeds to improve its distribution system, including logistics and sale channels. It also plans to invest in accommodating the growing pool of new customers from within the subsidiaries of Saha Group to outside-subsidiary. With these strategies, the Company expects to achieve 10% growth to about 32 billion baht in sales. Meanwhile, the first two month sales reflect a good signal with 17% rise from last year. Mr. Boonchai Chokwatana, Chairman of Saha Pathanapibul Public Company Limited, revealed that with the trust towards the government's economic team, there has been an increase in spending nationwide. Saha Pathanapibul believes in economic improvement from the previous year and is seeking to enhance its distribution system in an effort to strengthen its logistics network and sale channels. Consequently, this year sales are forecast to rise 10% from 2015, to 32 billion baht. The sales from January to February indicate a positive trend, up 17% targeted from last year. This year, Saha Pathanapibul is determined to increase the importance of logistics. The Company collaborates with its modern technology alliances in enhancing the distribution system to increase efficiency in the delivery of products to its consumers and establish the customer service network: promptly receiving and sending out information from sale clerks. Saha Pathanapibul is currently discussing the cooperation possibilities with several potential logistics alliances. Mr. Boonchai also affirmed that apart from logistics, Saha Pathanapibul emphasizes on introducing more sales channels in 2016. Outside-subsidiary companies have confidence in the strong network of Saha Pathanapibul and increasingly put the Company in charge of distributing their products. Saha Pathanapibul, hence, aims to expand distribution centers to cover the entire country, served by its existing 60 distribution centers. This year, it continues to foster the logistics network to expand its sales channels nationwide. At present, Saha Pathanapibul distributes a wide range of consumer goods marketed under almost 100 brands, 80% of which belong to the subsidiaries of Saha Group while the remaining 20% belong to the outside-subsidiary. Mitr Phol sugar is the latest product that selected Saha Pathanapibul to be its distributor. Furthermore, due to the economic situation in the past years, Thai consumers still remain conscious and careful with their spending. Saha Pathanapibul, thus, has to invest its marketing budget in organizing activities and promotions to stimulate consumption and boost its sale. In addition to developing the current system to increase sale efficiency, Saha Pathanapibul also places a great importance on developing its employees both within and outside the organization. This year, Saha Pathanapibul has launched SPC Smart Generation project to motivate its employees to adapt to the upcoming changes in business settings. This project features the proficiency tests in different areas including Thai and English Language, General Knowledge, Leadership Skill and Attitude tests. Moreover, Saha Pathanapibul, Naresuan university and I.C.C. International Public Co.,Ltd collaborate in launching the Master: Strategic Talent Development Program under the Institute of Strategic and Appreciative Business- ISAB. The program objective is to build high quality entrepreneurs with creativity, not only necessary for driving economic growth but also for promoting business sustainability with ethics. The intensive course will be offered to the business descendants of Saha Pathanapibul's trade partners and will be open for general public in the future. As for Saha Pathanapibul's operation results in the year 2015, Mr. Boonchai stated that last year growth was satisfying. It recorded 29.022 billion baht sales or 9.74% increase from the earlier year as the Company and its subsidiary generated the net profit of 1,300 million baht as a consequence of the government's measure to stimulate economy and the growing tourism industry. These also coincided with Saha Pathanapibul's strategies to continually develop and expand its sales channels.
