Bangkok--22 Mar--Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok has appointed James Norman as Executive Chef. James has worked previously as Executive Chef at the Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi and Regional Executive Chef for Europe for the Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva. Prior to his formal appointment at the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok he was assisting the Kempinski Group's Corporate Vice President of Food and Beverage Michel Gehrig with a number of important culinary 'task force' assignments. James Norman's impressive career covers 23 years of professional culinary experience in Europe, Middle East and Asia and includes appointments working for the Sultan of Brunei at the Empire Hotel & Country Club in Brunei and for Guy Savoy in Paris. The five star properties under his belt include the Mandarin Oriental in Geneva and Hong Kong, Burj Al Arab in Dubai, the Lanesborough Hotel and The Dorchester Hotel – both located in London's West End. James is a UK national who also speaks fluent Spanish and French. When working at Geneva's famous Grand Hotel Kempinski he generated widespread news coverage by inviting guests to visit the hotel's organic farm in the Swiss countryside that was providing a range of healthy products such as organic vegetables and goats' cheese. James said, "I have enjoyed some truly remarkable culinary experiences during my career and I am always excited by the challenges that lie ahead. Thailand, with its wonderful culinary heritage, is no exception.
