KASIKORNBANK boasts 38 percent growth in digital banking users, reaffirming its market leadership. The Bank plans to roll out new animated LINE stickers "Fin for Fun", plus 24-hour online live chat, serving young customers; and aims to add 3.4 million more clients by the end of this year.
Ms. Noppawan Jermhansa, Executive Vice President of KASIKORNBANK, said that KBank has focused exclusively on developing its digital banking arm, under the "Next Banking Experience" concept, notably financial transactions on the K-Mobile Banking PLUS application. As mobile banking gains traction, the K-Mobile Banking PLUS strategy is aimed at creating new user experiences, with personalization features, where all financial needs of customers can be fulfilled on a single device. More importantly, KBank's online platforms provide users with sophisticated data security protection, while serving them with both functional and emotional benefits.
Recently, KBank has introduced the "LINE Stickers: Fin for Fun"—these animated stickers feature characters of KBank financial advisor, "K-Expert", and "Tao", a cuddly office worker which come with humorous messages on financial matters. These LINE stickers can be downloaded, free of charge, from now until April 20, 2016. KBank has also added a new 24-hour "live chat" service, handling all kinds of information inquiries. Users may keep updated with KBank's new promotions, latest gadgets, and useful financial tips with the KBank Live Official Account.
Throughout the first quarter of 2016, KBank has introduced numerous features for K-Mobile Banking PLUS, including K-Personal Loan applications, where customers can specify a desired credit limit and tenor terms, with special interest rates, without calling K-Contact Center. The system also allows debit cardholders to modify daily fund transfer and withdrawal limits, report lost or stolen cards, as well as viewing past statements. In 2015, KBank's total mobile banking transactions reached 3.9 trillion Baht, representing an over-year surge of 43 percent. Having secured the largest digital banking customer base in Thailand at around nine million, KBank expects to add 3.4 million more users to the service by the end of 2016.
