Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited, the manufacturer of gypsum innovations over 45 years and of the leading brand Gyproc, continues its CSR activities to support Thai communities and enhance education for underprivileged children. Gyproc recently partnered with King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) and made a donation of gypsum building products to KMUTNB's Camp Club volunteers in rural development to construct a new school building. The new structure replaces a unit that was recently damaged/obsolete at Ban Na Mai School, Mueang Mai, Chae Hom District, Lampang. The initiative aims to provide an adequate school building to give underprivileged students there a better chance for education and improved living standards.
Richard Juggery, Managing Director, Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited, said, "We are very pleased to be part of KMUTNB's student project, giving us the opportunity to contribute and pledge our support to Ban Na Mai School in Lampang. This is a very mountainous and quite remote part of Thailand; we are delighted to make a donation of Gyproc construction products to assist with the completion of a new classroom facility. It will make a big difference in the lives of children studying there, and make a positive contribution to their education."
Gyproc Aesthetic & Hygiene Appearance ProClean and Gyproc™ Grid 32T24 products were used. The solution was fitted by Gyproc's own gypsum installers who helped KMUTNB students to construct the school building.
This Gyproc CSR activity demonstrates the company's care for youth and society, building on Gyproc's commitment to responsibility within the organization towards society. The project also follows the global commitment of Saint-Gobain to encourage participation as an organization in the need to restore benefits to the larger community, and to promote sustainability.
