Bangkok--24 Mar--Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel The recently concluded '10th Clutter Sale for Charity' held in the Grand Ballroom of Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel was another resounding success. The NewsMakers, comprising of senior editors, communications and public relations professionals, organized this unusual and fun event, now on its tenth year. Held annually since 2006, this much-awaited one-day event has been attracting hundreds of bargain hunters on the lookout for treasures sold by the glitterati, members of the Expat and diplomatic communities, and the public, some of whom volunteer their time and "clutter" to help raise money for charity. Proceeds will go towards the 'Genetic Cancer Research Centre' at Chulalongkorn Hospital under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross in conjunction with the Care for Cancer Charity Fun Run. The goods sold were primarily unused or nearly-new second-hand items in mint condition, certified brand-name goods, vintage clothes, fashion accessories, jewelry, home accessories, children's items, sports equipment and antiques. Various five-star hotels and resorts, British Airways, Bangkok Airways and others including individual donors have donated items and vouchers as raffle prizes at the Raffle Corner. Support for this much-awaited event has grown over the past years, including Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel which has been hosting the venue every year. Prominent personalities, various women's groups and the diplomatic community have also been lending their support. Celebrity and elites who participated at this year's Clutter Sale included M.L. Piyapas Bhirombhakdi, Gunnigar Virojanavat, Chris Horwang, Nandhamalee Bhirombhakdi, Kunyarat Pladisai, Mutmee Panichsamai, Kamala Sukosol, Daranee Charoen-Rajaprak, Praowphan Laohapongchana, Vee Marr, Tipapan Ajanant, Gift Techapaiboon, Urapa Laohapongchana, Nualnang Ramnuratana, Melanie Giles-Clapp and many others. High profile personalities such as Suree Ratanahirunya, Araya Kanchanapongkula, Khunying Kingkaew Uathavikul, Elizabeth Romhild, Atchara Tejapaibul, Anju Shah, Sarinya Lim and M.L. Poomchai Chumbala have also donated items for this good cause.
