Guests of Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas can now create unique films of their personal experiences at the boutique resort and share them with family, friends and the entire online community on the hotel's social media channels.
Guests participating in the new activity, launching on 1 March 2016 and running for three months, will be free to use their own cameras or borrow one free of charge from the resort. The amateur filmmakers are encouraged to find their own inspiration as they revel in the tropical indulgences of Anantara and the attractions of Phuket.
The resort provides easy-to-use editing software for guests to compose their Anantara Mai Khao Moments into a 15-second mini masterpiece. By giving their video to the hotel team to upload before check-out, guests are entered into a competition for five more nights at the resort as well as runner-up prizes, which are a 90-minute spa treatment for two persons and USD 200 resort credit for next stay.
The new initiative aims to enrich the Anantara Mai Khao guest experience and provide guests with exceptional memories. All participants will be able to take away their footage and final video on an Anantara USB drive.
Anantara Mai Khao General Manager Giles Selves said: "The great majority of our guests are avid members of online communities and this new initiative will provide them with an attractive way to deepen their experience of staying with us."
He added: "We hope they will be able to create personal films that will rekindle favourite moments and provide lasting fond memories of their holiday experiences, both inside and outside the resort."
Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas is a boutique resort in Mai Khao, Phuket's longest beach on the island's northwest coast, fringed by the undisturbed jungle of Sirinath National Park. It has 91 private luxury pool villas set amidst indigenous gardens around a meandering lagoon.
