SIMA ASEAN Thailand 2016 Launches New Exciting Initiatives For This Largest & Most International Agri-business Trade Show in ASEAN

Bangkok--31 Mar--Index creative village IMPACT is joining forces once again with COMEXPOSIUM to organize the 2nd edition of SIMA ASEAN Thailand in 2016, the biggest and most international trade show for the agricultural industry in the ASEAN region from 9th–10th September 2016 at Halls 5-6, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Mueang Thong Thani, following the success of the first exhibition, which effectively answered the needs of all sectors of the agricultural industry in Thailand and ASEAN & provided a major boost to the Thai agricultural industry towards becoming the key agri-business hub of ASEAN. Mr. Loy Joon How, General Manager of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., revealed that with the success of the 1st edition of SIMA ASEAN Thailand in 2015 which saw the participation of more than 300 leading companies and 13,200 professional trade visitors from worldwide with the generation of approximately 1 billion baht of trade volume during the show, the 2nd edition in 2016 promises more excitement to solidify its reputation as the leading trade, networking & knowledge hub for ASEAN agri-businesses. SIMA ASEAN Thailand 2016 will bring together the most complete collection of innovations, machinery and equipment, as well as other agricultural services from worldwide in order to meet the growing needs of agricultural professionals in areas such as tractors and agricultural machinery, spare parts and accessories, embedded electronics, sowing and planting equipment, chemical fertilizers and pesticides, irrigation systems as well as other related segments. SIMA ASEAN Thailand 2016 is proud to announce that the show has been extended to the lakeside area which will include live working plot demonstration areas for tractors & equipment, an outdoor exhibition area as well as the 1st Thailand outdoor agriculture festival which comprises of education/recreational activities for farmers, an exhibition area for horticulture & the display of agricultural end products. All these new initiatives further reinforcethe event's status as the leading exhibition for the agricultural industry in Southeast Asia and lends greater international recognition to Thailand as the rightful agri-business hub of ASEAN. At the same time, the Ministry will also encourage the use of organic fertilizer, appoint related organisations to source for high quality plants and livestockto be used by the farmers& support the production of rice according to international agricultural standards in order to continuously improve consumer confidence and create newtangible market opportunities on the international level ", Said Mr. Olan Pitak, Director General of Department of Agricultural Extension, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.
