On Wednesday 20 April 2016 from 5:30pm – 10pm, S Gallery at Sofitel BangkokSukhumvit welcomes art lovers to a new exhibition, 'Particles Evolution' by ThibaudTchertchian.
The solo exhibition is a showcase for the work of gifted French artist, Thibaud Tchertchian, who uses spray paint to create unexplored worlds and delve into the human imagination.
Thibaud Tchertchian is a French artist based in Bangkok. He started to paint with spray cans in 2000 with the fatsk crew before moving onto canvas. He eventually merged academic art and street art by using black spray paint directly ona white canvas, a technique that he finds spontaneous and intense. His monochromatic works are studies in lines, gestures, and aesthetics inherited from graffiti, and working toward a form of expressionism. The white canvas provides a virginal,neutral, and industrially backdrop, on which a line of black paint is sprayed. The rough line suggests a physical gesture that reveals a figure borrowed from the abstract aesthetic. This technique is the result of learning how use and manipulatea spray can and enables him to change its primary function, what it produces and what it signifies on the canvas.
Guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail and light canapes in the lobby as our DJ creates an ambient soundscape. Art lovers and VIPs will then be invited to view the exhibition in S Gallery.

Thibaud Tchertchian's imaginative work will be on show until 3 June 2016.
