La Vue of Siam@Siam Design Hotel Bangkok again takes the art of dining into another level by introducing an "art on the plate" concept that takes inspiration from the masters of the Impressionism Era. When people talk art from "Impressionist Era" they think about how the Impressionists convey their individual art and energy from brush to canvas.
At the one-night only "Impressionist Wine Dinner" on May 31 at La Vue, Executive Chef Gilles Poitevin, replicates the very essence of Impressionistic art, and transfers them onto your plate. Chef Giles will create art on each plate during the exclusive 5-course French dinner using main ingredients that are imported from the Normandie region of France. The Impressionist menu, served with cider bread and Isigny butter, includes highlights such as oysters from Saint-Vasst, Norman soup that is a culinary specialty made from fat, cider Fricassee of homarus lobster and roasted apple in a vegetable and flower garden, roasted oyster shoulder lamb Merino and potato Camembert stew, and Cranberry and Apple Normand Tart.
The scintillating dish selection will be paired with some of the finest wines from Manoux, Bordeaux, France. Borie-Manoux, which is one of the oldest wine merchant house in Bordeaux, owned by the Casteja family.
Spicing the arty dinner further are works of art to be displayed during an Impressionist Art Exhibition at the same time of the dinner. The Local talent "Teetat Tanachoktaweporn" will do live paintings, which participating diners can buy after the dinner.
