The Infinitium Payment & Innovations Forum 2016 was held here early in April to share knowledge in payment technology trends, in particular the advancements taking place in mobile payment.
Attended by clients and business partners from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Philippines, the forum addressed new opportunities as well as challenges for the banking and financial sector as innovative payment technologies are quickly emerging.
The three-day event, from 6-8 April, saw an exciting lineup of subject matter experts and thought leaders in the field of Payment Cards, Cyber security, Mobile Payment, Secure Messaging, and B2B Payment share their insights and experiences with forum attendees who were mainly from the banking sector.
The opening note at the forum was presented by Steve Marta, general manager of Asosiasi Kartu Kredit Indonesia and was followed by an engrossing knowledge sharing session with speakers from Infinitium Group, VISA, PT Bank Mandiri, Secure Logic, Infobip and Affinitium.
Ho Ching Wee, chief executive officer and founder of Infinitium Group of Companies presented an overview of the payment trends and discussed the solution updates across the Infinitium product spectrum, including new technology roll out such as the move to stronger Two Factor Authentication. He highlighted on the 3D Secure 2.0 specifications to be released soon by EMVco and its impact to all Issuers.
Ho also presented on In?nitium Mobile Experience (IMX) 2.0 with contactless card payment. Participants were shown a preview and demo on how contactless mobile payment can be implemented with Host Card Emulation (HCE) technology.
Other interesting topics at the forum were on security threats and vulnerabilities in the mobile landscape, information security compliance and efficient ways for organisations to manage their compliance obligations and best practices in B2B payments and collections.
Participants were also provided the opportunity to participate in one-to-one discussion sessions with subject matter experts.
