Bangkok--23 Jun--Precious Communications Glispa Global Group, a high performance mobile marketing pioneer, announces its expansion in Southeast Asia with a new office in Singapore today. With the expansion, Glispa has appointed the former Google executive and mobile marketing veteran, Christian Nguyen, as the General Manager Southeast Asia to oversee the growth and operations in the region. Glispa Global Group supports global advertisers, app developers and publishers to achieve user acquisition and monetization goals via programmatic advertising and marketing efforts. The company provides a full suite of technology-based solutions that tap into big data analytics targeting over 2 billion mobile users worldwide. The Singapore office will serve as the regional headquarters for Glispa to provide mobile marketing solutions for existing and potential clients in the region. Christian Nguyen previously held positions such as Head of Mobile (Southeast Asia) at Google, Head of Brand Sales at AdMob as well as Country Sales Manager at Microsoft. As Southeast Asia has become the world's fastest growing internet region with an accelerating internet user base of currently 260 million (Google & Temasek, 2016), Christian will use his in-depth knowledge in mobile marketing to serve mature markets such as Singapore, hypergrowth m-commerce markets like Indonesia as well as the emerging mobile markets such as in the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. "Southeast Asia is the next digital frontier with a major behavioural shift to a mobile-first society, and glispa is well positioned to help brands and app developers capitalize on this phenomenal growth," says Christian Nguyen, Glispa General Manager of Southeast Asia. "With mobile advertising set to grow to half of all digital advertising by 2020, I'm thrilled to join Glispa to lead this growth regionally." Massive Market Growth Continues in Southeast Asia (SEA) The company has been executing mobile advertising campaigns for Southeast Asian clients since 2013, and will continue to grow its regional presence in this rapidly-expanding mobile advertising environment, one of the biggest markets around the world. IDC expects smartphone shipments in SEA to continue its upward trend over the next few years, reaching 113 million units (12% growth) in 2016 and 166 million units by 2020. The countries that will continue to lead the growth will be Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. As smartphone penetration grows, so to do the advertising opportunities: eMarketer predicts mobile ad spend to grow over 150% year-on-year by the end of 2016. By 2019, more than 50% of digital ad spend will be attributed to mobile. Glispa's Regional Market Dominance Prior to setting up an office in Singapore, Glispa's strong SEA market presence has been based out of its headquarters in Berlin, where market experts and native speakers from Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines provide services to clients from the region. Opportunities throughout all these markets continue to grow, leading to the decision to open an office in Singapore. Glispa's vision is to be the mobile performance marketing leader in SEA, and already services major mobile players including Bukalapak, Traveloka, Lazada, Shopee, GrabTaxi, Matahari Mall and Gumi. Glispa has been tracking with the region's market needs where advertisers have progressed from volume app installs to now being more focused on mobile user quality and return on ad spend, which is aligned with Glispa's approach to user acquisition and proprietary optimization technology. Glispa's presence in Singapore rounds out the company's market reach in Asia as a whole, with the Beijing office servicing the Chinese-speaking market, reaching both international and domestic opportunities. "From years of doing business in the SEA region and listening to advertisers and publishers, we understand the complexities of executing mobile marketing across these vastly different Southeast Asian markets, cultures, channels and languages and have unparalleled expertise in each market," says Gary Lin Founder and CEO, of Glispa. "Now is the perfect time to establish a permanent presence in the region, to further strengthen our roots there and continue to provide our SEA clients with world-class service."
