Recently, the Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce (AustCham) organized the "Australian Alumni Awards 2016" which aims to recognise and celebrate the achievements of alumni from Australian universities, as well as to highlight Australian Government's commitment towards educational connections between Australia and Thailand. In the event, the speech by H.E. Mr. Paul Robilliard - Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, was given and a heartfelt experiences when living and studying in Australia by a successful Australian Alumni Pichai Cheunsuksawadi, Editor in Chief, Bangkok Post, were as well featured. The annual Australian Alumni Awards was held in the Astor Ballroom at the St Regis Hotel in Bangkok.
