Siam Commercial Bank has extended its support to those affected by recent disasters in China by offering financial assistance in the sum of RMB 1 million for relief efforts following the massive tornado and hailstorm that struck Jiangsu province in the Eastern part of China in June, and the heavy floods in the Yangtze River areas in early July. The donation will be further transferred to the Ministry of Civil Affairs to help relieve the plight of victims in the affected areas. The gesture demonstrates the Bank's strong commitment to responsibility to society and community, and not just in doing business and making a profit. The Bank is ready to provide assistance by any possible means.

Ning Fukui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, said that, we would like to thank Siam Commercial Bank for its thoughtfulness towards China. We will deliver the donation to the Ministry of Civil Affairs to provide relief to those affected. This kind gesture consists not only of the relief for disaster victims, but also reflects the long-standing close ties between Thailand and China and the goodwill extended to the people of China by Siam Commercial Bank.
