Tetra Pak (Thailand) Limited, led by Jeff Fielkow, Vice President - Environment, in collaboration with partner organizations of the "Green Roof Project for Princess Pa Foundation", recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the collection and recycling of used beverage cartons for the production of Green Roof sheets, which will be distributed to support natural disaster victims and other needy communities nationwide. The MOU reinforces Tetra Pak's commitment to sustainable environmental management by encouraging collaboration among public and private organisations to contribute for better environment. This partnership will continue for the next three years, from July 2016 to June 2019, and will play a major role in carton waste management in Thailand.

Mr. Jeff Fielkow, Vice President - Environment, Tetra Pak Asia said: "Tetra Pak is honoured to be a part of the "Green Roof Project for Princess Pa Foundation", in our mission to support the proper waste management of used beverage cartons and transform them into the Green Roof sheets in support of natural disaster victims. Since 2010, the project has recycled more than 120 million cartons, producing 54,000 roof sheets and helping 1,500 families in the process."
For the past 15 years, Tetra Pak has continued its commitment to promote sustainable environmental management through the recycling of used beverage cartons in Thailand. This year, Tetra Pak and its partners – Princess Pa Foundation, Big C Supercenter Public Company Limited, Fiber Pattana Company Limited, and the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment – have expanded the collaboration to the TV 360 news program, Krobkrua Kao 3 by Mr. Taninwat Phattanaweerakun, TV presenter and moderator. This furthers efforts to build awareness on the importance of recycling and increase understanding and positive attitudes towards sustainable environmental management among Thai youth and the public.
With comprehensive environmental campaigns, Tetra Pak remains one of the major players in Thailand committed to sustainable development and efforts to reduce the effects of global warming. Tetra Pak educates consumers on the benefits of used beverage carton recycling, as well as how to sort carton waste, and has also invested in technology innovations to further environmentally friendly production. Tetra Pak has also actively supported the public and private sector in environmental initiatives such as Thai Children Love Recycling project (2006-2007), Jaew Saves Earth project (2008), and Save the Earth with Big C and Tetra Pak project (2009.)
