Bangkok--15 Aug--124 Communication Consultings The collaboration aims to reduce potato seed imports more than 50% and increase crop yields to five tons per rai within five years Pepsi-Cola (Thai) Trading Company Limited, the producer and distributor of Lay's, Thailand's No.1 potato chip and a key component of PepsiCo's snack portfolio, led by Vishal Kaul (2nd left), General Manager – Foods, together with Charonchai Salyapong (left), Corporate Affairs Director and Chawala Wongyai (right), Senior Agronomy Manager, announced today its collaboration with the Department of Agriculture represented by Sanong Charinthorn (2nd right), Director of the Chiang Rai Horticultural Crop Research Center, on the "Potato Seed Development" program. The objective of this collaboration is to reduce the amount of imported potato seeds more than 50% and to support local potato farmers to efficiently work to increase productivity to five tons per rai by 2021.
