Bangkok--23 Aug--Tourism Authority of Thailand
Business owners, hotels and attractions are reporting that visitor numbers remain high in the resort town of Hua Hin as life returns to normal after the recent incidents on 11 and 12 August, 2016.
Fears that tourism would be greatly affected in Hua Hin in the wake of recent explosions seem to have been allayed as the town remains busy with local and international tourists determined to enjoy the long weekend and celebrate the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. Many tourists are visiting the town's famous beach and the town centre shops as well as restaurants near to the sites of the attacks.
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said, "We are pleased that life has quickly got back to normal in Hua Hin as it shows that people have confidence in the safety of Thailand and the increased security measures that have been put in place nationwide. There is so much to enjoy in Hua Hin and the surrounding areas and people should take the chance to explore. Tourists should remain defiant in the face of these incidents and feel safe carrying on with their holiday plans." See more at:TATNewsroom
