137 Pillars Hotels and Resorts, the luxury boutique brand, has announced the appointment of Ms. Kanchalikar Phruttisarikorn as Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications of 137 Pillars Hotels & Resorts. Kanchalikar's appointment is effective from 1 August 2016.
Kanchalikar joins the group from her most recent role as Public Relations and Marketing Communications Manager at The Unique Collection of Hotels and Resorts, where she was responsible for strategic planning in public relations and marketing communications for 20 upscale boutique hotels and resorts in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and India. She graduated from Thammasat University with a Master's Degree in Marketing (MIM). In addition, she did a four-month internship at the W hotel in San Francisco, after completing a Post Graduate Professional Management Program at the University of California, Berkeley USA.
She has over 10 years hotel experience in five-star hotels in Thailand including The Regent Bangkok, a Four Seasons Hotel, The Conrad Bangkok Hotel, The Sukhothai Bangkok, Le Meridien Bangkok, Kirimaya Golf Resort Spa, Muthi Maya Forest Pool Villa Resort and Tenface Bangkok. In addition to her hotel marketing experience, Kanchilikar also spent two and a half years with McCann Worldgroup Thailand in the Weber Shandwick PR division. Kanchalikar is based in Bangkok.
In her new role, Kanchalikar work to create an effective marketing communications and public relations platform in liaison with the group's International PR Agency and the marketing team for 137 Pillars Hotels and Resorts brand. This includes 137 Pillars House Chiang Mai, which has recently been listed as #1 Best Resort Hotels in Southeast Asia in Travel + Leisure Magazine's 2016 World's Best Awards; 137 Pillars Suites and Residences Bangkok, which is scheduled to open in early 2017 on Sukhumvit Soi 39, a short distance from the upscale and fashionable shopping district of Emquartier/Emporium and 137 Pillars Estate which is scheduled to open early 2019 on the North Peninsula of Kata Beach, Phuket.
