Bangkok--6 Sep--Total Quality PR Democrats Abroad Thailand (DAT), the local chapter in Thailand of the US Democrat Party, announced today a schedule of debate watching parties for three Presidential and one Vice-Presidential debates in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Pattaya. Hundreds of overseas Americans living in Thailand are expected to attend the parties, which will be held in the evenings of September 27, October 10, and October 20, to cheer on Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton as she debates Donald Trump. DAT will also hold a debate party for the Vice President debate on October 5, pitting Democrat Tim Kaine vs. Mike Pence. The events will be open to the public. "Americans in Thailand are keenly interested in this year's elections in the US, and Democrats Abroad is committed to ensuring their voices are heard and that we elect a Democratic President and Congress," said Phil Robertson, Chairman of Democrats Abroad Thailand. "We expect hundreds of Americans will come out to cheer on Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine at these parties, and register to vote." "Democrats Abroad Thailand is committed to help as many overseas Americans as possible vote in November, and we've got the one-stop registration service to make that happen," Robertson added. "Americans with questions about how to get registered and get involved should attend these parties, listen to the debates, and have fun with friends while also participating in our democracy." There will be trained volunteers manning tables with computers using the Democrats Abroad on-line voter registration system, VoteFromAbroad.org, to help Americans to register to vote. Since voter registration deadlines for most states are in late September to mid-October, many Americans still have a chance to get registered to vote.
