Musical success for Regent’s International School, Bangkok including student winning the first prize

Bangkok--8 Sep--Regent’s International School Musical success for Regent's International School, Bangkok including student winning the first prize and receiving H.R.H Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Trophy Chawin Karnjanaphan (Amon), aged 16, student at the Regent's International School Bangkok and a leader of the school orchestra took part in the Princess Galyani Vadhana International Ensemble Competition. Amon gave an outstanding performance in Category C: Duet for Piano and String Instrument. His performance on the violin won him the first prize along with the H.R.H Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Trophy and Special Recognition for Outstanding Artistic during the competition held in July. Amon said that the beginning of his success came from the many musical opportunities at the Regent's International School. He has learnt how to play violin with professional international teachers. Ariya Laothitipong (Jija), aged 12 years and a talented pianist, won the Second Prize valued 50,000THB in category C: Duet for Piano and One String Instrument. Jija has been trained by Dr. Pornpran Buntheghansa, well-known pianist and graduate from Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, USA and honorable consultant of piano at the Regent's International School. Arlene Karnjanaphan (Remi), aged 14 years old who took part in category A won the Third Prize in the ensemble competition. Remi has been trained by Dr. Thanate Veda Sri-Narong.
