SCB tops Thai banks on Forbes Global 2000

Bangkok--20 Sep--Siam Commercial Bank Reaffirming its status as a leading global company, Siam Commercial Bank has been ranked No. 1 among Thai banks on the Forbes Global 2000 list. The list is an annual ranking of the top 2,000 public companies in the world by leading American business magazine Forbes. The ranking is based on a mix of four factors: sales, profit, assets and market value. This year, fifteen Thai companies are on the list, with SCB ranking 535th among companies from all over the world, second in Thailand, and first in the Thai bank group. Published since 2003, SCB made its debut on the list at No. 1,854. Speaking about the award, Siam Commercial Bank President and CEO Mr. Arthid Nanthawithaya said that, "According to the Forbes Global 2000 for 2016, SCB has been ranked 535th among the top 2,000 public companies worldwide. The ranking, up considerably from 564th in 2015, and to the No. 1 spot among Thai banks, demonstratesSCB's outstanding management capability, operating performace, and customer confidence, confirming SCB's mission of becoming the Best Universal Bank in Thailand, and its vision of being the Bank of Choice for customers, shareholders, employees, and society.
