Mr. Pisit Serewiwattana, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), said EXIM Thailand had rendered a maritime financial facility worth 12.15 million US dollars to Ama Marine Plc. to support the upgrade of its oil and chemical tanker fleet to be on par with international standard and the expansion of new shipping routes with high market potential.
EXIM Thailand's President added that EXIM Thailand realized the potential of Ama Marine Plc. which has for over 20 years engaged in seaborne transportation of liquid bulk cargo, with all of its vessels having Thai nationality and carrying Thai flag. The company is also preparing to list on the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) to raise funds for its future business expansion and to demonstrate transparency in its operation. The Bank's finance will help drive the development of Thai marine logistics which is fundamental to the promotion of Thai export growth bringing in foreign exchange income on a sustainable basis.
