With the consent of the Ministry of Finance, the Board of Directors of Thailand's Secondary Mortgage Corporation (SMC), a state enterprise under the Ministry of Finance, has resolved to appoint Mrs. Wasukarn Visansawatdi as SMC President, taking effect from 1 October 2016 onward.
Mrs. Wasukarn, aged 54, completed her Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Banking and Finance, Thammasat University, and Master's Degree in Economics, Project Analysis, School of Development Economics, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA). She has also earned a Certificate of Senior Executive Development Program, Capital Market Academy (Class 17), and undergone director training programs of Thai Institute of Directors, i.e. Director Certification Program (DCP), Advanced Audit Committee Program (AACP), and Risk Management Program (RMP).
In view of her work profile, Mrs. Wasukarn has served as top executives in several organizations, namely Senior Executive Vice President for Finance & Accounting of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, Chief Financial Officer of SF Corporation Public Company Limited, and Director of Krungthai AXA Thailand Company Limited, as well as other companies that are listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
