Bangkok Life Assurance shares happiness with the elderly nationwide by giving them better vision
Bangkok Life Assurance Public Company Limited takes part in sharing happiness with the ageing society where most members have vision problem through its "BLA creates happiness, making a bright world for the elderly people" project. Entering its fourth year edition, the project holds "Giving the elderly eyeglasses for brighter vision" activity. The project started since 2012.
The 4th "BLA creates happiness, making a bright world for the elderly people" project provides comprehensive eye examination, giving away eyeglasses and health care tips for the elderly with aims to reduce vision problem among them. Bangkok Life Assurance continues holding this project across Thailand, accounting for more than 40 areas so far, and gave away eyeglasses to more than 15,000 people.
Mrs Komkai Thusaranon, Acting President and Executive Director, Bangkok Life Assurance PCL, said that in the year 2016, Bangkok Life Assurance has been organizing the activity called "Giving the elderly eyeglasses for brighter vision" in six districts. Currently, during the end of October, the project has taken place in Ban Lahan district of Chaiyaphum province. More than 300 elderly people have shown their interest and joined the activity. On that day, before we begin, everyone has observed a nine minutes silence to pay respects and express loyalty to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. And the activity went well. Eyeglasses were given away as intended and brought smile to everyone."
Bangkok Life Assurance promises to keep on holding good social contribution activity to bring happiness to the elderly people. The company believes that for some people, being able to see with clear vision may seem to be a little happiness. But for the elderly people, being able to see the world with a brighter vision is considered a great happiness.
