Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted a dinner reception and prize-giving ceremony on race day three of the 30th Phuket Kings Cup Regatta, at Katathani Beach Resort, Phuket. Over 1,500 international sailors, VIPs and participants from over 30 countries enjoyed unwinding and networking in the relaxed atmosphere with quality food and drinks provided by the resort. Local and international business leaders and associated stakeholder business representatives were able to discuss growth, tourism and the new strong focus on building Thailand's marine industry to becoming a world leader in the sector.
The excellent support offered by Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) for this year's Regatta helps to grow the reputation of the King's Cup and promote Phuket as one of the top sailing destinations in the world. The strategic partnership helps to create a surge in Thai marine tourism to boost the economy in Phuket and provide benefits to local businesses. Through these efforts, Phuket will continue to bolster its strengths in attracting notable sporting events, such as in golf, tennis and beach volleyball.
