Recently Chubb's general insurance operations in Thailand announced that it had made a donation of 1,000,000 baht to support the construction of a health station at Ban Khlong Takhian Chai Border Patrol Police School, Sakaew province, a project initiated by H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Ms. Nittaya Piriyathamwong, Country President of Chubb Samaggi Insurance PCL. visited Pol.Maj.Gen. Wanchat Kamkourkong, Deputy Commissioner of Border Patrol Police Bureau at Border Patrol Police Bureau Headquarters to present the donation.
Khun Nittaya said, "In 2017, we continue to support the Border Patrol Police schools throughout the country, this time funding the construction of a health station for Ban Khlong Takhian Chai Border Patrol Police School. This is the seventh Border Patrol Police school we have supported. We are hopeful that all the support from Chubb in terms of the construction of essential buildings, provision of educational equipment and health care services will enhance the quality of life, health and educational opportunities for the youth who are the future of our nation. This donation is our Children's Day gift for the underprivileged ones."
Chubb established the 'Hand in Hand' project in 2015, espousing the firm belief that positive contributions to communities return long-lasting benefits to society including the company's employees and business. The 'Hand in Hand' project focuses on two main objectives – increasing educational opportunities for underprivileged students and improving the livelihood of individuals and communities in remote areas. The project thusfar has supported six Border Patrol Police schools in Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, Phitsanulok, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chiang Mai and Surat Thani through the construction of buildings such as health stations, libraries, kindergartens and multipurpose halls. The company is committed to sustaining its support for other Border Patrol Police schools nationwide.
