A new, promising online securities firm from Japan with the THB1 billion paid-in capital, GMO-Z com Securities (Thailand) Limited (in the process of obtaining the securities license), appointed 2 new members to the Company's Board of Directors: Vichate Tantiwanich and Chalermruth Nakvichien. Vichate serves as Chairman of Board of Directors, Chairman of Audit Committee and Independent Director, while Chalermruth sits as a Director. The movement will strengthen the management team and propel today's digital transformation in the financial sector. These appointments are in line with the Company's mission of being a leader in online securities trading while inspiring and empowering Thai investors to actively trade online with confidence and joy.
Biographical details of new appointments
Vichate Tantiwanich is currently Chairman of Executive Board of C A C Co., Ltd., known as C asean and Advisor to Creative Entrepreneur Development Institute (CEDI), Bangkok University. Vichate has over 30 years of management and technical experience with various leading firms, including The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) where one of his significant roles was President of Market for Alternative Investment (MAI). Apart from his positions in the private sector, Vichate also serves as an advisor to Minister of Commerce.
Chalermruth Nakvichien, current Group CEO of GMO-Z com NetDesign, has vast experience not only in managing but also in teaching at his founded NetDesign, Thailand's most successful multimedia design academy. His solid expertise in management, marketing and information technology encouraged him to join the academic world as a guest lecturer for various leading universities in Thailand. Chalermruth is the first and only Thai who was named The Best Young Asian Entrepreneur 2009 by Bloomberg Businessweek, followed by 1 of the 66 Bangkok Post's Young Leaders Shaping Thailand's Future 2012.
