Mr. Norachet Saetang, Teparuk Plant Manager (4th from left) recently joined with the management of Seagate Technology PLC in co-hosting and welcoming honorable speakers and participants of an international workshop titled "Magnetic Materials and its Application in Magnetic Recording Technology" at Seagate Teparuk plant in Samutprakarn province. Honorable workshop speakers include Prof. Dr. Roy William Chantrell, University of York, United Kingdom (3rd from right); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prasert Pavasant, Director of Research and Researchers for Industries Division (RRi), Thailand Research Fund (2nd from right) and Prof. Dr. Sampan Rittidech, President of Mahasarakham University (4th from right).
This workshop is part of a Thailand, UK Industry, Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) sponsored by the UK Royal Academy of Engineering and Thailand Research Fund. This program will be used as a vehicle to stimulate and strengthen a triple helix of university-industry-government relationship model, which subsequently leads to a strong potential to establish R&D magnetic recording technology hub in Thailand. Moreover, this will enable strong international interactions among leading scientists from worldwide universities and local researchers, to foster exchanges of ideas and encourage further R&D collaborations.
