Senior representatives from member carriers of the Star Alliance network recently held its first Star Alliance Management Board (AMB) meeting of 2017 in Bangkok at the Siam Kempinski Hotel.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Star Alliance network, having grown from five carriers in 1997 to 28 carriers in 2017. THAI's representative in the Star AMB Mr. Krittaphon Chantalitanon (front row, third from left), THAI Vice President of Alliance and Commercial Strategy, stated "As this year is the 20th anniversary of the Star Alliance network, it was a great honour for THAI to play host to the first major meeting among senior representatives of the alliance members in Bangkok. It was our vision not only to provide a networking forum for our members in a pleasant, comfortable, and convenient environment, but also to showcase and affirm Bangkok as the top international business and travel destination."
