AIS announced its 1Q17 result, recording net profit of Bt7,693mn. Service revenue was Bt31,364mn, increasing 4% YoY and in line with the full-year guidance of 4-5% growth. Mobile subscribers recorded 40.6mn while Fibre subscriptions reached 373,900mn.

At the same time, we deliver digital services to empower the competitive edge and improve business efficiency for local entrepreneurs and startups, as a foundation of Thailand 4.0.
In this evolving digital era, we witnessed growing demand for mobile data, particularly video streaming. The data usage increased to 4GB per month. In addition to the nationwide coverage, AIS continued to enhance 4G user experiences through network capacity and efficiency and promoting 4G handset adoption.
In 1Q17, AIS fibre subscription rosed to 373,900, supported by variety of packages and growing demand for fiber technology, which has become more popular than ADSL technology following better service stability. We sought to create differentiation on both mobile and fixed line services by partnering with leading content providers e.g. HBO, FOX, NBA, Warner etc. to offer a variety of video contents on +100 channels, supporting customer lifestyle. The video service is available on both AIS PLAY, a video platform on mobile, and AIS PLAYBOX, a video platform through fixed line service.
