Photo Release: Tetra Pak Signs MOU with Rangsit City Municipality and Green Spot for Carton Recycling Project to Reduce Waste

Bangkok--7 Jun--Hill & Knowlton Dr. Dechar Klinkusoom Deputy Mayor of Rangsit City Municipality, Pativate Chinchest, Safety and Environment Manager, Green Spot Co. Ltd, and Teera Puxsupachat, Environment Manager Tetra Pak (Thailand) Limited, sign an MOU to support environmental awareness by encouraging people to recycle used beverage cartons, starting with a pilot project in 20 schools and 10 communities in Rangsit Municipality and vicinity. On World Environment Day, Tetra Pak (Thailand) Limited, led by Teera Puxsupachat, Environment Manager, in collaboration with Green Spot Co. Ltd. and Rangsit City Municipality recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support environmental awareness by encouraging people to recycle used beverage cartons, starting with a pilot project in 20 schools and 10 communities in Rangsit Municipality and vicinity. As partner organizations under the 'Rangsit People United on Carton Recycling to Protect the World' project, the collaboration between both public and private organizations provides a model to reduce the amount of waste, and increase recycling in the Rangsit area. The MOU's goal is to foster strong relationships and long-term collaborations to support environmental sustainability, in line with Tetra Pak's sustainable environmental management commitment. To achieve this, roadshows will be organized to provide knowledge on sustainable and responsible forest management and how to effectively recycle used beverage cartons. The partnership will continue until 30 June, 2018.
