Tetra Pak reveals top packaging innovations matching Global 2017 consumer trends at THAIFEX – World of Food ASIA 2017

Bangkok--14 Jun--Hill & Knowlton Tetra Pak Thailand, the world's leading food processing and packaging solutions company, introduced top packaging innovations for three global 2017 consumer trends at the Innovation Zone at THAIFEX-World of Food ASIA 2017. Addressing evolving market demands in Asia, the company also shared their industry insights on 'Packaging Trends for Senior Consumer' at an Innovation Seminar by Ratanasiri Tilokskulchai, Marketing Director, Tetra Pak (Thailand) Limited. "At THAIFEX, Tetra Pak demonstrated our commitment to deploy fully integrated solutions that will support the growth of Thailand's food and beverage industry. To achieve this, we showcased innovations that embody the latest consumer global trends," said Ratanasiri Tilokskulchai. "Our goal is to help our customers understand trends that will impact their business in the coming years and make smart choices when launching new or improved products into the markets." The top packaging innovations displayed at the Innovation Zone, represented three out of top ten global consumer trends for 2017: • Tetra Prisma® Aseptic Carton addresses the 'Plain Sophistication' trend. Showcased by the Norwegian ready-to-drink coffee brand, Tine IsKaffe, that uses this award-winning carton to enhance brand image and premiumize their products. • Tetra Recart® represented the 'Kitchen Symphony' trend. This is the first retortable carton that allows food sterilization inside the carton itself. The brand 'Pacific' from USA packs their organic roasted red pepper hummus in Tetra Recart. Consumers around the world can now enjoy nutritious ready meals packed from the country of origin using local ingredients in this functional, long shelf life carton. • Finally, Tetra Rex® Bio-based featured the 'Sustainability' trend. This is the world's first carton made entirely from plant based, renewable packaging materials and certified by Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Launched in 2015, it has gained popularity among consumers across Finland, Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands, with brands such as Valio, Arla Foods, Vermlands Mejeri. Tetra Pak has delivered more than 100 million packs of Tetra Rex® Bio-based to customers in 2016.
