Royal Thai Navy and PTT signed MoU of cooperation in energy development and investment at U-Tapao airport to support Thailand 4.0

Bangkok--20 Sep--PTT Early today (September 20, 2017) at Royal Thai Navy Headquarters (The Thonburi Palace)Bangkok, Adm. Na Areenich Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy and Mr. Tevin Vongvanich, PTT President & Chief Executive Officer signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of cooperation in the development and investment in energy, fuel service and related business at U-Tapao airport. This MOU will support of the development of the Special Eastern Economic Corridor: Eastern Aviation in respond to Thailand 4.0 policy. Adm.Na said that Thai cabinet resolution wanted to develop Rayong as a part of special economic zone under EEC project. U-Tapao airport, in charge by Royal Thai Navy, is not only important in part ofland and air transportation but also in a commercial area as well. Thus, the development of U-Tapao airport will help boosting the competitiveness of Thailand, increasing employment, income, economic growth, life quality. Finally, U-Tapao will bring success to Thailand 4.0 Policy. Mr. Tevin stated that energy was the key to development U-Tapao airport. PTT is the state enterprise under Ministry of Energy with the mission to ensure long-term energy security for the nation. In addition, PTT is specialized in these field for 40 years, thus PTT ready to support this development. Our support in oil, gas and infrastructure and sustainability management will help promoting U-Tapao to be hub of Asian aviation, the place for Thai pride.
