Leading German audio specialist, Sennheiser, is introducing a full suite of new audio solutions, which include high end audio headphones and amplifiers, portable music and entertainment wireless headphones, as well as mobile recording microphones for smartphones; a result of the brand's strategic lighthouse direction for its research and development work. Highlights in the collection include 3D audio recording devices under the brand's AMBEO initiative, a framework that develops various 3D audio hardware and software products as well as workflows.
"Sennheiser Sound Forum is a Sennheiser-owned initiative to continue our audio leadership efforts and commitment to Thailand. Today's edition is a reflection and culmination of extensive product development and market research, staying true to our vision of pioneering the future of audio. We believe our latest headphones and microphones will blaze the trails for the audio industry in Thailand," says Martin Low, Managing Director of Sennheiser Asia.
With the growing use of wireless headphones for everyday commutes and increased smartphone penetration in Thailand, where 90 per cent of internet users in the country use their smartphones to surf the internet[1], engage on social media and consume digital video content, Sennheiser is riding on these key market trends by introducing three new wireless Bluetooth neckband headphones for mobile users.
The newest products that will be introduced at the latest Sennheiser Sound Forum edition includes three wireless music and entertainment neckband headphones for people on the move: CX 7.00BT (THB 6,490), MOMENTUM In-Ear Wireless (THB 8,990) and MOMENTUM Free (THB 8,990). All three models feature Bluetooth and NFC integration, a three-button remote and an integrated high quality in-line microphone for making calls and controlling music. Multi-connection with up to two devices at once and 3-way calling support are also provided on all models. An intuitive system of voice prompts provides notifications on the pairing status and battery life on the headphones.
New high end audiophile models in the form of the HDV 820 (THB 99,990) fully balanced headphone amplifier and IE 80 S (THB 15,390) high performing compact audiophile earphones are also showcased. The HDV 820 builds on the accomplishments of Sennheiser's first-ever digital headphone amplifier, the acclaimed HDVD 800, with its enhanced, higher resolution and ultra-low distortion components open up a whole new listening experience for the most demanding audiophiles. The IE 80 S takes high fidelity audio to the next level with enhanced acoustic performance and unique customisation features such as memory foam ear tips from Comply™ as well as the option to use different cables.
Apart from consumer audio products, Sennheiser is also introducing a series of mobile journalism and audio for video microphones in the form of the MKE 2 elements (THB 8,949), a high quality waterproof action microphone for GoPro® HERO4 cameras; two mobile recording microphones made in partnership with Apogee's analog-to-digital conversion technology – the HANDMIC DIGITAL (THB 11,569), a rugged, dynamic handheld microphone for interviews and music recordings on iOS devices, Mac and PC, and ClipMic digital (THB 8,939), a clip-on microphone for mobile recording with iOS devices; as well as 3D audio recording devices such as the AMBEO VR MIC (THB 73,699), a 3D audio recording microphone developed in cooperation with virtual reality ("VR") content producers and finetuned through an extensive creators' program with participants from audio and VR communities, as well as the AMBEO SMART HEADSET (THB 13,390), a compact mobile headset for music enjoyment and creating stunning smartphone videos with 3D sound on iOS devices.
